MTTL : Cycling weights

About

MTTL asked Satellite to design and develop a first generation cyclist weight training system.

We conducted 12 ethnography sessions, visited 11 pro shops, sent out 15 surveys in 2 countries, and built 42 prototypes to ensure we developed an optimized system.

The eight pound weight is designed to fit 90% of cycles including triathlon and road cycles. The patented system locks onto the top tub easily with its easy latch system. The foam pads provide shock protection and keeps the weight from sliding back and forth.

In addition to product development, research, and prototyping we developed the MTTL brand from scratch.

WELLNEST : The worlds first Alexa medical wearable

Wellnest asked Satellite to design and develop their wearable, a wrist worn health care device. Wellnest is the world’s first Alexa wearable device.

Wellnest is a device that alerts you to take your medications and keeps track of them. The system consists of a wrist band and docking station. Wellnest is discrete and comforting, allowing you to live your life worry free.

iPORT : LuxePort iPad charging dock

iPort asked Satellite to design and develop Luxeport, an elegant and smart charging station for iPad.

LuxePort is the ultimate expression of refined aesthetics in an iPad charger and mount. The system consists of a Case and Stations for charging on table-top or wall. LuxePort allows iPad to blend into high end offices and residences with precision machined components that are finished by hand.

IC Realtech : 720 degree iPhone camera case

The design language features thin edges to slim down the product and offset lines to draw attention to the center and create a smaller illusion. The color, material, and finish are complementary to Apple products.

We developed 16 initial concepts, analyzed various keyboards, tested various material combinations, and built 4 initial prototypes to ensure we developed a sleek optimized experience.

Belkin : Secure KVM

Belkin asked Satellite to design and develop a new design language and suite of Secure Keyboard Video & Monitor products. The SKVM’s allow users to use multiple computers/networks with one keyboard, monitor, and mouse.

We conducted 5 ethnography sessions, visited four government agencies, worked with The White House (super-cool), and built 15 prototypes to ensure we developed a robust and tamper proof system and cohesive design language.
